Hundreds battle for chess champion title

Check mate! Nearly 400 kids from throughout California came out to play in the 2007 Chess Championship.
Kids as young as four years old battled it out on the chess board at Cesar Chavez Science Magnet School.
Everyone played at least five chess games.
Winners of each age group received trophies and cash prizes.
