Only 1,300 of these limited commemorative Riviera chips will ever be produced! Most of them are already gone. It was so cool to see non-chess players (who got these chips from whatever game they played) came up to me to say that they have my chips and they recognized me from these chips. I was also told that this is the first time that a chess player is on a real live chip.

I was in Las Vegas and played Susan Polgar in the simul. I have one of the chips. One question I have to ask Susan, is we know we win with dignity and lose with grace (or was it other way around?) but what do you do when you draw? It was an honour and pleasure to play with Susan and I was fortunate to draw and have my photo appear in Susan’s blogspot while our game was still in progress. I will always treasure drawing two World Champions: Tigran Petrosian at Manhattan Chess Club and now Susan Polgar in Las Vegas. I also got Susan’s chessboard signed and Poster signed. Susan did a great job in Las Vegas and I look forward to the tournament this weekend but I am rooting for Gata Kamsky (been a big fan since he started playing in World Open).
