I wish Garry a Happy Birthday as well. I won’t argue too much about Susan calling him the greatest chessplayer ever. I mean he was on top for 20 straight years. But if both are in their prime and I need 1 guy to win 1 game, I’ll still take Fischer.
If he were only a chess player and not a politician, I might feel the same. Kasparov lost too many friends forever, when he turned to politics seven years ago.
to me Kasparov was the second greatest chess player the world has ever unburied … :)(third was an icland immigrant …)
– BUT FIRST – AND DOUBTLESS FIRST … a simple lawyer, never defending any client in any court case ^^ buried alive in a hotel room – 1.e4 in front of his cold body – an immortal – ’till today … my IDOL:
MR. Alexander Aljechin
^^ your Vohaul
Kasparov is THE greatest player ever. Anybody who says he isn’t is just trying to impress people, but makes fool of himself.!
Happy Birthday GK!
May your second 43 years be as rewarding and spectacular is your first 43 years.
ALL players of ALL TIME would cringe at the thought of playing Kasparov in match play!
