The popular TV show “Euromaxx” of Deutsche Welle aired a 4-minute appearance video of German national star WGM Elisabeth Paehtz during the recent European Team Chess Championships 2007 in Crete, Greece.
You can see the whole 4-minute of the TV show, uploaded at Google’s Youtube service: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmrS181RYHI
We would also like to thank WGM Elisabeth Paehtz and reporter Samira Schellhaas of Deutsche Welle TV for the excellent presentation!
Best regards,

Deutsche Welle is actually a German multi-language TV channel, broadcasting also in Greece through satellite.
I’m guessing the German coach meant that the “last woman who broke into the top 100 was 40 years ago” was the last German woman. Can anyone verify this? The woman he mentioned was Edith (last name?).
It’s Edith Keller-Herrmann, born 1921, 10 times woman champion (Germany and German Democratic Republic).
