The 6th International Chess Festival “Sport Summer 2013″ took place on July 5-12th in Hotel Petrus in Paraćin, Serbia. The main event was International Championship of Central Serbia, a 9-round Swiss tournament with FIDE time control.

There were three events, OPEN A for players rated higher then 2100 and OPEN B for the lower rated players. In addition, the 9th “Uroš Dinić” Memorial was held on Sunday, July 7th, as 15-min rapid tournament.

Russian Grandmaster Mikhail Ulibin repeated his earlier success and emerged clear winner of the main Open A with 7,5/9 points. In the last round Ulibin defeated GM Suat Atalik with black pieces. Ulibin also won the International Championship of Central Serbia in 2011.

Grandmasters Igor Miladinovic, Borko Lajthajm (Serbia) and Evgeny Gleizerov (Russia) shared the second place with 7,0 points each. Full standings below.

In the Open B the 14-years old Janko Radovic finished convincing winner with 8,0 points, leaving the second placed Jovan Rasic half a point behind. Rasic started furiously with 6/6, but Radovic beat him in the 7th round in what turned out to be the decisive game of the tournament.

In the Uroš Dinić Memorial Grandmasters Branko Damljanovic and Borko Lajthajm shared the first place with 7,5/9 points each. GM Suat Atalik and IM Bosko Tomic shared the third place half a point behind the winners.
