Grandmaster Denis Khismatullin from Neftekamsk took the winner’s trophy in the final tournament of the 2015 Russian Rapid Grand Prix that was held from 13-15th December in Khanty-Mansiysk.
16 players competed in the round robin tournament with the time control 15′+10”.
Denis Khismatullin and Pavel Ponkratov shared the first place with 11,0/15 points each, but Khismatullin had better tie-break score.
On the shared third place are Evgeny Alekseev and Sergei Rublevsky with 10,5 points each.
The total prize fund was 15,500 EUR.
