Last week, I posted about Elina Kats winning the NY State High School Championship. I was recently informed by a devoted Chess Dad from Virginia (Abby Marshall’s Dad – Abby tied for 1st at the SP National Invitational for Girls last year) that the girls pulled off a trifecta at the Virginia Scholastic Championship. The girls finished first in 3 sections. I do not have all the details yet but I will be sure to post an update as soon as I receive it. Congratulations to all the young ladies!
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Way to go ladies!
Outstanding ladies!! Talking about girl power, Susan I have a question about boy power haha. I know that your son Tommy who just turned 7 played in Las vegas last year, I think in a 12 round tournament and finished 1st in his rating range. My question is this. Do you train your son Tommy or does he have a private chess coach, or does he learn chess on his own, and ask you an occasional question?
