Go Magnus Go!
Bobby has a Fiver riding on you!
No Freekiing way Magnus wins
He is gonna choke for sure
This will be a true test for him, his last three opponents are really all tough Anand is black, Kramnik is white and Radjabov is black. This will either make or break him, but he is definately up for the challenge.
GO MAGNUS!!!
I really hope he wins!
Looks like Vassily still has a chance of winning, like I predicted. But I think Magnus will win.
topalov will win his last three games to win it.
I really want Magnus to win, but I fear the only way he can do it is by beating Radjabov in the last round. Look at the task:
White vs. Anand – against the greatest intuitive player in the world, who will probably have several TNs up his sleeve, a draw is all I hope for.
Black vs. Kramnik – Drawnik can now only be beaten, it seems, by TNs, and Magnus’ kitchen is simply not good enough yet. Besides, Kramnik is playing White, and we all know how good he is in that department.
White vs. Radjabov – The only chance, but pulling a TN on Radjabov is almost impossible (I mean, what the hell is a Jaenisch?)
I would LOVE to be proved wrong, but…
I don’t think he can win. 2 world champions and Radjabov? I wish the kid luck but his task is herculean in size.
Magnus is going to defeat Anand tomorrow. Mark my words!
If he wins, it will be one of the greatest achievements for years and years. I can hope for 1,5 or 2 points, but I can’t truly expect more than 1. Then he will not win.
Top 3 would be great!

Given the schedule for the final three rounds, I think Aronian must be considered the clear favourite now. He plays Van Wely, Ivanchuk & Polgar and should be able to go at least +1 to finish no worse than +3 (which would be one less than his +4 Corus 2007 win). Carlsen will almost surely shed a point since he’s never beaten either Anand (+0 -6 =7) or Kramnik (+0 -3 =4) – albeit he does have a very slight plus vs Radjabov (+3 -2 =8).
I put my money on Aronian, it’s too soon for Carlsen now, but in 2-3 years, not even Anand or Kramnik, will be able to stop this young chess monster.
Nevertheless, if Carlsen makes it… I will love it!
Regardless of the final finish, this has been a big tournament for Magnus Carlsen. Previously he had shown he could win games against tough opposition, but he is now getting to be hard to beat – an important distinction and one which really separates the top 20 GMs from other GMs.
Kramnik with White is very tough – so I think Magnus will have to be happy with a draw. Anand has had a good streak against Magnus but if there is any vulnerability in Anand’s game it is when he has Black and enters into a slightly passive or dubious line – which he has done recently. Radjabov is the wild card – hard to know. Will he go all out knowing that a Magnus defeat will help Aronian? Of the three games, I think Magnus is aiming for a solid draw with Kramnik, try to play and see if he can get an edge against Anand but happy with a draw and try to win against Radjabov.
