France defeated the defending champion Brasil 1-0 to move into the semi-final. They will face Portugal next. In the mean time, host Germany will face Italy in the other semi-final.

I was rooting for Brazil, but I think Germany will win it all.
These Brasilians are getting to fat for Samba. Zidane was the best dancer on the floor.
I think Germany´s got the best team. I think we´ll have a classic Germany vs. Italy – and I hope the Germans will beat the spoiled Italiens.
Italy will most likely win it. (I’m no fan) The 3 other teams play quite openly. This kind of style is great for the cattenacio.
When you have a team that plays openly, Italy has the gaps to counter-punch & score a goal. They will just sit back & defend until the next opening comes.
There is no better team at defending 1 goal leads than Italy.
Call it Anti-football, but it works.
