Four former Women World champions come to Ulaanbaatar

Dear participants, organizers and guests of the tournament!

On behalf of the International chess federation FIDE I would like to congratulate you on the opening of the next stage of FIDE Women Grand Prix!

First of all, I would like to thank a management of Mongolia, President Tsakhia Elbegdorj for the opportunity to hold the Grand Prix stage in Mongolia capital – Ulaanbaatar.

So important event are holding in Mongolia for the first time, and this fact shows the development and popularization of chess in the country. There are a lot of strong chess players in Mongolia, practically each Mongolian family have someone who involved in playing chess, game is loved in the country.

Opening of the new point on a chess map has huge value: the general image of Mongolia improves interest to chess increases and remains high – both for adults, and for children. The example, which famous grandmasters show to young chess players, gives them a powerful impulse both in life, and in sports.

I am assured, that the tournament will be very interesting. Four former Women World champions will take part in the Grand Prix stage altogether for the first time. Participants will fight for the victory in Grand Prix Series – for possibility to struggle for a title of Women World champion.

I wish all the players uncompromising fight, successes, beautiful games and sporting good luck!
