Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Much badmouthing is going on about Bill Gates, Microsoft, Windows, etc., Bill Gates deserves being the richest man on the planet. Almost singlehandedly created the background/opportunity for the computer revolution we are living now. Of course the hardware also made a big difference, but none of these would be a reality, if the entire world wouldn’t be connected by a compatible operating system on most (almost all) computers. That made all other develoments (hardware and software) much, much easier.
I didn’t like Windows when it came out, in a way I still have many gripes about it, but I am forced to admit that it created this realm, and I am glad it did.

What are you talking about? I am not Bill Gates hater, but if there is a person who almost “singlehandedly created the background/opportunity for the computer revolution” it would be Steve Jobs. I don’t claim that Bill Gates did not deserve to be the richest man in the world, but he is defnitely not the man you are describing.
The fact that there were so many computers running on the same operation system was because IBM did not realize the consequences of the licenzing system it used for creation IBM’s personal computers.
What, no chess players on the list? Something’s wrong.
microsoft never did anything with hardware that was intel. as far as software microsoft monopolized the market and made it so other software besides there own didnt run on windows operating systems. I’m not a big fan of microsoft. I’m still having a hard time figuring out how the government didnt pin them down in the courts for obvious devious tactics designed to prevent competition. they always would buy any company that threatened there dominance or else just blatantly ripped off there competitions code made slight modifications and stamped there own name brand on it. im sure they tryed to bring down google but google got too big for them to bring down . kind of like a tiger trying to bring down a rinocerous. the prey was too big for microsoft. windows is not a stable operating system and its obvious it has serious security flaws. much more than say linux. yet they have forged these binding contracts with companies forcing them to use the microsoft operating system and accompanying software packages designed to run properly only on windows. its totally corrupt but even the government couldnt do anything about it. money buys you the best laywers which in turn buys you a not guilty verdict. now thats sad and true.

Gates and Buffett, at least, are avid bridge players. They have even played together in duplicate tournaments as a partnership.
Out of this list only bill gate is giving back to the community through his foundation. Others are enjoying their money!!!
Didn’t Buffet will everything to charity?
Yes, Buffet willed almost all to Gates Foundation.
He shouldnt be in the list anymore.
Microsoft is into robot software now. What about chess?
Does Bill has the love for the game?
Would Bill Gates like to play chess with a Polgar sister? Gates will have 6 minutes per move; Polgar will have 5 seconds per move.
Bill Gates + Susan Polgar vs a famous GM X + a famous female sport person Y.
Move order:
Bill Gates
sport person Y
Susan Polgar
GM X
… and so on
why would anyone post this on here??? i find it hard to believe Susan would. Who cares who the richest people are. I was very sad to see this posted on here!
