Harika world’s Junior Girls Champion

HYDERABAD : Dronavalli Harika became the second Indian to win the World Junior Girls Chess Championship. This 18-year-old, Andhra chess prodigy picked the World under-20 championship title in Turkey on Friday even as India is celebrating Independence.
This ‘Queen of 64-squares’ from Guntur has a unique record of winning all the age group titles at the world level from under-10 to under-20. The first Indian girl ever to become the junior world champion was Koneru Humpy, also from Andhra Pradesh, in 2001.
Harika said from Turkey: “I am happy to win gold for my country on this auspicious day. It is a fantastic feeling and the most memorable moment of my life.”

I’m glad you deleted that whiner’s post. If he can’t follow the rules, he shouldn’t be allowed to post here. This is a site for players of all ages. My kids read this blog daily. I don’t want to see posts like that either.
