1. … Rc1
2. Qxc1 Qf2#
or
2. Qe2 Qxe2+
3. Kxe2 Rxh1
greets, jan
My immediate idea here seems correct:
1. … Rc1!
and this must win a rook, it seems.
2. Qxc1? Qf2#
2. Qg1? Rxg1 3. Rxg1 Qf2#
2. Qh4? Rxh1 3. Qxh1 Qf2#
2. Qe2 (enforced) Qxe2+
3. Kxe2 Rxh1
and it’s 2R+1N vs. 1R+1N.
Qf2 would be mate if white queen was not on e1. So
1. … Rc8
2. Qe2 Qe2
3. Ke2 Rh1
wins a Rook.
A case of a weak second rank. Black mates with either Qd2 or Qf2, if only the white queen could be deflected. So, Rc1 plays itself:
1. …..Rc1
2. Qe2 Qe2
3. Ke2 Rh1 wins a rook.
1…Rc1 2.Qe2 Rc2 3. Qe1 Ng3 and white loses material
R-c1
Rc1
1….Rc1 wins outright because the white queen has to protect the f2 square and the rook on h1.
