A friendly game against IBM Deep Blue in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. in March 2003. The entire IBM staff was very kind as they showed us their marvelous facility. IBM also helped the 2004 US Women’s Olympiad Team by donating 6 state of the art laptops to the team. Thank you IBM!
Murray Campbell is the man in the blue shirt behind the laptop. He is an IBM research staff members and one of the incredible brains behind Deep Blue.
The game ended in a friendly draw.

IBM Deep Blue VS Susan Polgar!!!
This would be GREAT on ESPN2.
One half of Deep Blue is now in the Smithsonian Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. It is on display in the computer section downstairs. Stop by and check it out if you are in the nation’s capitol. Also there is a set upstairs in the president section that was owned by John Quincy Adams and soon an exhibit opens with Ray Charles set too.
The red hair blinded Deep Blue.
GK, take note.
