1.Bg7 + Ng7 2. Rf8 + leads to mate
1. Bxg7+ Kg8
if 1…Nxg7 then 2. Rf8+ leads to mate as in samikd’s posting
2. Ne7+ mate
Hi Susan. I am trying to learn The Grunfeld Defense D85 Exchange variation. The line 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 d5 4.cxd5 Nxd5 5.e4 Nxc6 6.bxc6 6.Bg7 Nf3 c5. I guess this is the old variation because I have seen on Chessgames.com “The Modern” Variation. After move 6 I would like to understand good ideas. I see the idea of attacking WHT’s center and a8 R with the g7 B. I have played through many games by Masters and it seems the games come down to a complicated endgame. Maybe I am trying something too complex but I would like to try to learn. Any suggestions? Thank you as always (The Queen) of Chess! Ms Susan Polgar! ; )

Who is (or was?) Grunfeld?

Susan if you dont want to help with openings just say so please dont ignore me. I know the last time you tried to help with a response to 1.Nf3 and you answered briefly some moron accused you of not really answering. I knew it was you that answered, and I dont care what moronic fools think anyway!

Please stop begging for tips from Susan. Buy a book and look it up yourself.
I dont want any tips from her or anybody else. I bought her 5 cd’s and books but I guess Im not “famous or professional” enough to get a response. Someone in the chess world who writes gets an auotmatic response. What I wrote to her is my business. What do you have to say about it? Keep your big mouth shut. People like you is why murders happen. I thought this was a place to talk chess, but I think its more a place to sell dvd’s and books and promote women! Thanks I’ll buy your next dvd on The Grunfeld Susan.

Susan I want to genuinely apologize to you about the nasty comments I made to you and about your site. I love you as a person, a chessplayer, and your blog is excellent! I got extremely upset when the blogger told me off and said buy a book. It’s not that Im lazy I really admire and look up to you ever since we met on WCN, and like to talk chess and correspond with you. I can never forget the draw you gave me during Master Challenge (out of your kindness) : ) I also will never forget your Community Challenge where you defeated (us) Community in under 1 minute haha! I am truly sorry and hope you will forgive me.

Don’t worry TFK. Sometimes I do not see the messages and sometimes I am not home to respond 🙂
