Rd2 looks good to me.
Rg7 skewers the queen and rook, if Qxg7 Rxg7,Kxg7,white wins the rook with check.
oops didnt see the bishop. im a renerd
From the top of my head:
1.Nd6 Ra7
2.Qc4 threatening mate on g1.
2… Bg7
3. Rxg7 Qxg7
4. Rxg7 Kxg7
and white should be winning.
1.Nd6 Qxd6
2.Qxb7 Qe6
(2… b5 3.Qf7)
3.Qxb6 and white looks good to me.
b5
3.Qf7
hello everybody!
on 1. Rd2 Qxd2 looks nice for black.
i need help, i have some hints but no solution.
i analysed 1. Ne5 Bxe5 2. fxe5 and found nothing for black against pushing the pawn to e6 in connection with a check on the long diagonal.
on 2….Re8 3. e6 wins.
on 2….Ra7 3. Qc4 Qd5 4. Qc3 Qd3 5. Qxc6.
what about 1. Ne5 Qc8 ( 1…. Qe7 2. Qc4 wins) 2. Qc4 Bxe5 3. fxe5 b5 4. Qb3 c5 5. e6
it is all not convincing but i have no other solutions
on 1. Nd6 Qxd6 2. Qxb7 Qf6 black maybe can hold the game
on 1. Nd6 Ra7 2. Qc4 Bg7 i could find no continuation
i am sure it is something simple and forcing but hard to find
greetings from berlin

hmm, after
1.Ne5 Bxe5
2.fxe5,
is there anything concrete after the naturally stubborn defence
2… h6
after for example
3.e6 Qe7
4.Qa1+ Kh7
white is dominating the board, but I can’t see any directly winning line.
hey partner 2….h6 is very interesting. maybe after the proposed 3. e6 Qe7 4. Qa1+ Kh7
5. Qe5 is good
5….Rf8 6. Rg6 with the idea 7. Qf4
and what about (after 2….h6):
3. Rg6 Kh7
4. Qf1 ( now 4….Qc7 is not possible) threatening 5. Qf4
Why not:
1.Nd6 Ra7? 2.Qc4 Bg7 3.Rxg7 Qxg7 4.Rxg7 Kxg7 (4..Rxg7?? 5.Nf7+) 5.Nxf5+ followed by 6.Qxe4 and white will win
1.Nd6 Qxd6 2.Qxb7 Qf6 (or Qe6) 3.Rg7 and white is better
i found it really a hard nut to crack!
1.nd6! qxd6
(1…ra7 or rc7 2.qc4 bg7 3.rxg7 qxg7 4.rxg7 kxg7 [4….rxg7 5.nf7+] 5.nxf5+ +-)
2.qxb7 rf8
(2…qf6 3.qxb6 qe7 4.qb3 bg7 5.rxg7 qxg7 6.rxg7 kxg7+-)
3.rg7 qh6
4.rc7 c5
(4…bf6 5.rc8 bd8 6.rxc6 bf6 7.qd7 b5 8.rc8+-)
5.rc8 qd6
(5…rxc8 6.qxc8+ qf8 7.qxf8#)
6.qc6 qe7
(6…qxc6 7.rxf8#)
7.qe6! qf7
(7…qxe6 8.rxf8+ qg8 9.rfxg8#)
8.qxf7 rxc8 +-
chances are that I missed some elementary things ^^
greetings
What about Nxb6?
I have a stupid answer, i can never find the answer in such short time of thinking (too hard puzzles,) i guess not even taking my time, lol.
The stupid answer is;
QxR – QxQ;
Nd – RxN;
Rg8 ++. Only sometimes can u get away like this but usually if u want to progress u always have to think that u oppenent will find a better answer.
bewst wishes and merry xmas to all.
1.Rd2 Qc8(or Qd8 if 1…Qxd2 2.Nxd2 wins the queen and the game) 2.Rxd8 Qxd8 3.Qxb7 (winning the rook +-)
1.rd2 qxd2+
2.nxd2 rxd2+
3.rg2 rxg2+
4.kxg2 rb8
5.qc4 Bg7
6.qxc6 h6
7.qe6 rf8
8.qxb6 kh7 =
and black has achieved to built up an unbreakable fortress
After Nd6…
Why not Rb8? Looks like black is holding..
I am not sure it will work, but can’t believe nobody has suggested Ne5, seems problematic for black…. gets rid of the bishop and the queen can come to put pressure on g8 and g7, no?
@chris_quebec:
1.Nd6 Rb8 2.Qc4 with the threats Qxc3+ and Nf7+
“”
After Nd6…
Why not Rb8? Looks like black is holding..
“”
After:
1.Nd6 Rb8
2.Qc4 with the dual threat of Qxc3 and Nf7+
Wish Susan would give us the final verdict on this one (but she rarely does, I think)
Nxb6!? if rook takes then Qc4 threatens too much
