I think Bf3 is the way to go. It neutralizes the attack on the bishop while maintaining the threat on the black bishop at d7, and the move threatens Bb7 undermining the poorly protected knight at c7. I don’t think black can avoid losing one of those two pieces:
1. Bf3 Be8 (alternatives below)
2. Bb7 Rd8 (what better now?)
3. Bc7 Rd4
Getting some counterplay. Not really sure how white should consolidate this. The pawn at b4 is toast as far as I can tell, so I would focus on protecting the one at h4:
4. g3 Ne2
5. Kg2 Rb4
6. Ra1 looks decisive to me.
1. Bf3 Be8 2. Bb7 Rb8/d8 3. Bxc7 1-0
Both white Color Bs are hanging with WB hanging with check; key is to save that WB and neutralizing Black’s attack! The key is where should Be2 move to!
1.Bf3! Threatening Nxd7 winning a piece for white!
A>-1…Bc6??.2.Bxc6.wins a piece and threatens winning another piece with 3.Bb7… And 4.Bxc7/Bxb8 winning easily!
B>-1…Be8.2.Bb7! Winning Rc8 or Nc7 and the game!
C>-1…Rd8.2.Bxc7! Winning a piece and the game!
D>-1….Ne2+.2.Bxe2.Bc6. White is a piece up and wins easily!
E>-1….any other.2.Nxd7 wins a piece and the game!
Black’s pieces are in disharmony.B is attacked.N which is attacked has feeble support of R.Pieces are almost immobile.N at f4 has attacked white’s B and will drive it only to a more useful long diagonal.
1.Bf3 Be8
2.Bb7 Ra8
What else?
(2… N7d5 3.BxR)
(2… Na8 3.BxR)
3.Bxc7 Ra7
4.Bb8 Rxb7
5.Nxb7 winning a R.
Though Bxh5?? seems to gain a pawn, I dont really like it, e.g.: 1. Bxh5 Bc6 2. Bf3 Bxf3 3. gxf3 Nfd5 and white is only slightly better.
1. Bf3!! Be8 (only against Nxd7)
2. Bb7!
Rook and knight hang, white wins.
My immediate intention is to take the pawn of h5 with the bishop. Even there it controls to black knight to an extent, and if black takes it, white can take the black bishop in turn, and a little advantage should have been gained.
1.Bf3 Be8 2.Bb7 Rd8 3.Bxc7 Rxd4 4.g3 Ne2+ 5.Kg2 Rxb4 6.Nxa6 Rc4 may be better for black than what I posted before.Black is down by a B rather than a R.
1. Bf3! Ncd5 Black cannot protect his bishop. In case of
1. … Be8 White plays
2. Bb7 and now what?
2. Nxd7 Rc4
3. Rb1 and White should win.
