1.Ne6 to block the Bishop’s access to f7 and the f6 pawn can roll on.
Ne6 wins
1.Ne6! (threatening 2.f7) Bxe6 2.fxe6 Kd8 3.f7 Ke7 4.exd7 1-0
1. Ne6! immediately popped to my eyes. White is threatening 2. f7.
So Black is forced to take the Knignt with the Bishop thus:
1…..BxN
2. f5xB Kd8 (forced)
3. f7 Ke7
4. e6xd7 and the Black monarch cannot stop one of the pawns from queening. For example:
4……. a5
5. d8=Q KxQ
6. f8=Q With a Queen and King against King and two connected pawns far away from queening squares, White should easily win this game.
Thanks for the Enjoyable puzzle.
Best wishes
A Weiler
Ne6, promotion to follow.
1) Ne6, …;
Ciao
Luigi
Looks like an interference problem to me with Ne6 cutting off the B. White will be able to promote the pawn no matter how black captures.
1.Ne6 Bxe6 2.fxe6 dxe6(Ke8) 3.f7 Kd7 4.exd7 1-0
I am wondering…
1)Ne6 dxe6
2)f7 exf5
3)f8=Q+ Kd7
4)Qxf5+ Be6
The win will require some level of technique.
Yes, Ne6 wins and must be envisaged immediately as the continuation is almost forced.
