Following the decision of the Executive Board in Tallinn that the FIDE Treasurer and I would discuss a reform of the rebates, I am pleased to announce that starting in 2014 the following rebates will be in effect:
Chess developing countries in level 5 will have FIDE fees (except Membership Fee) offset of up to the amount of €1,000
Chess developing countries in level 4 will have FIDE fees (except Membership Fee) offset of up to the amount of €750
Chess developing countries in level 3 will have FIDE fees (except Membership Fee) offset of up to the amount of €500
I hope that this change will act as an incentive and encourage activities in developing countries.
