The NH Chess Tournament is taking place from August 22nd to September 1st, 2007 in the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam. It is organized by the Association Max Euwe in Monaco. The team tournament is a battle between the team of ‘Experience’ players and a team of ‘Rising Stars’ players. The format is a double Scheveningen team system which means that each person will face all players from the opposing team twice.
The ‘Experience’ team consists of:
Alexander Beliavsky (Slovenia)
Alexander Khalifman (Russia)
Artur Jussupow (Germany)
Predrag Nikolic (Bosnia)
Ljubomir Ljubojevic (Serbia)
The ‘Rising Stars’ team consists of:
Ivan Cheparinov (Bulgaria)
Sergey Karjakin (Ukraine)
Daniel Stellwagen (The Netherlands)
Jan Smeets (The Netherlands)
Parimarjan Negi (India)
Part of the prize for the top finishing rising star is a spot in the prestigious 2008 Amber tournament. Which team do you pick to win?

The old guys will destroy the young dudes.
How come Magnus Carlsen didn’t get a re-invite after last years victory giving him a spot in Amber? Maybe he’s not considered a rising star anymore, but a well established super-GM?
Magnus didn’t get invited probably because he’ll be a main fixture in Monaco from now on.
