Here’s some videos of a game played by a beginner. His views and feelings while playing the game:-

Just thought I get that plug in – since children are more attentive to videos rather than plain static pgn text file 🙂
A wonderful cause! Congrats!
Great cause…but who is the angel in white with the kids?
These are the Ramirez Rooks from the Ramirez Charter School in Lubbock Texas. They won the Elementary School Team Trophy at the Texas Chess Association Region One Scholastic Championships that was held last month at Texas Tech University. Last May some of these kids played in what may have been the first tournament of its kind. They played from school against 16 Icelandic kids who were playing from there school. This was done on ICC (finger Texas-Iceland for games and detail). Since these kids are beginners and the Icelandic kids are “professionals” they got crushed. However, everyone had fun and they want a rematch!
Thanks for the information. They are a treasure. Good luck with the rematch. I hope they will have a blast!
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
