European-Youth-Chess-Championships-2015

The 2015 European Youth Chess Championships were held from 20th September to 1st October, in the touristic town of Porec, situated on the western coast of Istrian Peninsula, Croatia.

The Championship was organized by the Croatian Chess Federation, under the auspices of the European Chess Union.

12 new European Youth Chess Champions for 2015 were crowned at the closing ceremony:

Open U18 IM Ali Marandi Cemil Can (TUR 2422) 7 points;
Open U16 Sawlin Leonid (GER 2258) 7.5 points;
Open U14 Lobanov Sergei (RUS 2394) 7.5 points;
Open U12 Shubin Kirill (RUS 2176) 7.5 points;
Open U10 Makoveev Ilya (RUS 1942) 8.5 points;
Open U8 Navumenka Mikhei (BLR) 8 points;
Girls U18 WFM Khomeriki Nino (GEO 2296) 8 points;
Girls U16 WFM Kazarian Anna-Maja (NED 2259) 7.5 points;
Girls U14 WFM Kochukova Anna (RUS 2049) 7.5 points;
Girls U12 WFM Solozhenkina Elizaveta (RUS 2061) 7.5 points;
Girls U10 WCM Mironenko Galina (RUS 1792) 7.5 points;
Girls U8 Veremyuk Veronika (UKR) 9 points.

In total medal count, Russia is the absolute winner with 13 medals (6 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze). Turkey got 2 medals (1 gold and 1 bronze), Azerbaijan and Romania got 3, but without gold ones, while Poland and Armenia have two medals, also without gold.
