Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Wow Susan The European Assizes is holding alot of events and no one of African descent playin any of theses guys!! I guess we just not qualified Susan! Wait a minute Susan arent theses the same bums i crushed on icc? hehe.Oh its only blitz that’s right,Susan ,when you go over to Europe do theses guys have a Ujia board? hehehe. Good thing the Bills won, mondays in Buffalo is the pits if they lose!!! JEEEZ.haha.
It should be a great match between Azerbaijan and Russia tomorrow. I think you almost have to make Azerbaijan (the #2 seed) the favourite against the top-seeded Russian team. Their #4 board, lol, Mamedyarov, has been ranked as high as #4 in the world (January, 2007) and there’s nobody on the planet hotter than Gashimov at the moment (except for Carlsen and he’s not here). He’s moved up from #11 to #6 on the live ratings list and fast closing on Kramnik for #5 status. Hard to believe that such a relatively tiny (less than 9 million population) country could have 3 Super GMs and all under the age of 25!
Huge win for Bacrot! Is he ready to rejoin the elite?
