This would be Judit’s miraculous save against Grischuk in Biel. Here Grischuk played Kf3, and Judit found the reply Ng4 which eventually forced Grischuk to accept a draw. The point being theat Nxg4 is stalemate.
So Kf3 is wrong! As for the correct answer, well the obvious g2 does not look right after Ne4+. Hmmm, I need to give it some more thought…

Yes, a combination of a save by JP and a blunder by AG: not sure how much to attribute to the two sides.
1.f5 is the only winning move here, so the win hangs by a thread. Maybe JP deliberately put the win into ‘thread territory’. White has to get into a won KNPKN endgame.

Susan, your trademark (WIN WITH GRACE, LOSE WITH DIGNITY![TM]) is a great one, but I’m curious as to why there’s nothing in there about drawing? Maybe “Win with grace, lose with dignity,” and draw with style. ^_~

Oh and I just found out you got elected to the board. Congratulations! I’ve been spreading your campaign, albeit with non-USCF members. I am also not a USCF member because of bad experiences I’ve had with the people who run my town’s club, and because I got tired of politics that didn’t make sense before this summer’s election. But now that you’ve been elected, I think I’m going to join this coming school year, and try to get more people in my college’s chess club (I’m the president) to join the Greater Worcester Chess Club as well. Congrats again!

should be Kf3 that was typing error. you cant figure that out? are you the type of person that cant understand a sentence when one word is mispelled. figure it out your not a five year old or maybe you are.
