kamsky number 1
When Ivanchuk reach the endgame with equal position is an excelent endgame player
Susan, you doesn’t seem to have very high openion on Anand, you hardly mention him in any of best categories, he has been in top 2-3 for more than a decade so he must be good in sth.
While I dislike Kramnik he is the best end game player of our time.
Leko is ok as an endgame player, he’s more of a middle game person.
People like Kamsky, Shirov, and Jakovenko don’t belong in the same sentence like Kramnik, Topalov, and Anand. Especially Kamsky – having a single good turnout at Mtel doesn’t mean anything. He’s too busy playing blitz on ICC with Burger Boy Nakamura.
Who is Jakovenko? I think he don’t deserve to be mentioned with the other supermen.
Best endgame player is Shirov. Witness how Kramnik loses to Shirov.
Not Muller or Dvoretsky?
Me.
(Well, if playing to lose counts… 🙂 )
1. Salov
2. Shirov
3. Kasparov
Topalov is the best endgame player
I read chess life and I thought the best in the world is Pal Benko on endgames.
Don’t forget about Karpov. His endgame technique was feared!
Nobody knows nothing much about endgames, to be called the best, except me. Any other question?
You missed Ponomariov !
Karpov, Kramnik (the legends) followed by Ponomariov and Kamsky in my opinion
I think Karpov is the best endgame player of all time. Today he’s lost his strength, so my list of currently strongest endgame players is as follows:
1. Kramnik
2. Anand
3. Shirov
Nobody knows. The world elit players are all awesome.
1. Karpov
2. Ponomaryov
3. Ruffian(C)
