After 1.Kg5? Kf7? is a blunder, and your line shows why. Try 1…Ke5 instead, which draws.

1.Kg5 was my first idea too, because I thought it is meant to be more difficult than a “normal” advance of the pawn, 1.g5… 🙂
You can not only give one move without a variarion! So i will try it:
1. g5 Kf7
2.Kg4 Kg6
3. g3 Kg7 (3. .. h6 4.gxh6 Kxh6 5.Kf5 + -)
4.Kh5 Kg8
5.Kh6 Kh8
6. g6 hxg6
7.Kxg6 Kg8
8. g4 + –

Yes, Kg5 jumps into mind first, but 1. g5 looks better. My line is:

Youre line looks good, but 8. .. Kg8 and its a draw, because black has the opposition. Thats why 7. .. Kf8 is necassary, not 7. .. Kg8? 8. Kxg6 Kf8/h8 9.Kh7/f7 +-
