Forced draw. Only Nakamura can win this.
Knowing the checkmate was critical to winning the junior world championship in 1997.
Judit Polgar found the checkmate in a blindfold game–using neither of the standard methods.
Till now I knew only the common idea – the king to be put in the corner with the bishop’s colour but probably I wouldn’t be able to realize it, but just checked youtube and found 2 different not very complicated methods to do it. Just unallowable for WC to not know any. That may hurt her confidence badly
Opposite king must be driven to the other corner (a8 or h1 -same as bishop’s color) and the technic to be used is the W technic. More info on Nun’s books of endgames 😛
Winning it versus winning it with 30 secs on your clock is quite different.
I could do it with unlimited time on my clock. For this, I just looked the position up, and it says white wins in 24 moves.
