All the high school champions are male it looks like.
Are there any good chess playing girls?
The winner of the NY State High School Championship is Elina Kats. She had a choice to play in either the Denker or the Polgar event. She chose to play in the Polgar
They shouldnt let girls have a choice to play in denker. its basically acknowledging that boys are better than girls in chess. Otherwise guys would be allowed to play in the polgar too.
We live in a free country. The girls should have the rights to make any decision they want.
the denker is for high school only, the polgar is for girls only, there should be a top girl, top boy, top high school student tournament!
can’t a high school girl who wins the denker and polgar qualifyr of their state play in both? there will just be a lot of getting up but the time control’s long enough…
I think that it should be like the world championship because Judit Polgar plays with all the top players, even though men can’t play in the women’s world championship. The denker is a “high school tournament of champions” — not boys. Notice how before the Polgar no girls played in the Denker. That’s why there is a Polgar Invitational for girls. That’s just my opinion.
