This is nice one. It took me 3 minutes to solve. Black is in zugzwang. Ka2 kills black.
For example
1. Ka2 Nb4+
2. Naxb4#
it took me 44 seconds to solve.
11/2 minutes
There are potential mates with Nab4, Nac7, Nde3 and Ndc3, depending on whether the N at c6, e6, c4, or e4 moves. The Black King cannot move. WK must move to a square that he cannot be checked in one move from.
1. Ka2
About 30 seconds. Once I realized that any N move by black allowed mate, it was just a matter of finding the right square for the K.
It took me over 5 minutes I think, even though I’ve seen it before a couple of times.
