Nakamura should be allowed to play for the world championship.
Caruana was “handed” the game.
Evgeny Tomashevsky:
1. played a bad Caro-Kann (without playing c5 or f6),
2. sacrificed a pawn with little justification (b5),
3. set up, then allowed a bishop sacrifice for 3 pawns and a passed e6 pawn.
It was in Tomashevsky’s best interest to lose the game.
