The race is still extremely tight on the Democratic side. Clinton won Rhode Island and Ohio tonight. She is also leading by a very small margin in Texas. Obama won Vermont and is leading the total delegates count by a tiny margin. Who will win the Democratic nomination? Who do you want to win?

I too want Clinton to win the nomination, but only because she’s totally unelectable in a national election. If she’s the nominee, she has less than a 20% chance to win the presidency. Obama is a bigger threat to win, but still less than 50%. The average American doesn’t want a radical liberal for president. I don’t think either has a real chance against McCain.
If the delegate count ends up being real close, they should just play a chess match at the convention for the nomination! 🙂

Knowing America from my holidays , i don’t believe a black man will ever be chosen , regardless of what Clinton’s project is , she’ll win even if her plans are clueless , simply because the average American will vote against a black man ruling him , it’s sad but true .

Watching the Democrats snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for almost a decade, I expect more of the same. With polls clearly indicating that Clinton will lose to McCain vs. a slight edge/dead heat for Obama, I predict that Obama will have a slight delegate edge going into the connvention. The Democratic leadership will realize that they are in danger of winning the general election (gasp!), a gerrymander Clinton as the nominee. The party will go on to a stunning loss in November, and then wonder what happened.

Wilson. A Democrat.(World War I and his many excursion into South America)
Franklin Roosevelt. A Democrat.(World War II…Japan attacked the U.S. but he went to war with Germany)
Harry Truman. A Democrat. Led us into the Korean War in which 55,000 Americans died and Korea did not attack the U.S.
John F. Kennedy. A Democrat. Sent American Troops into Vietnam initiating a long and useless war. Vietnam did not attack the United States.
Lyndon Johnson. Democrat. Continued the war in Vietnam.
Bill Clinton. Democrat. Went to War in Bosnia. They never attacked America.
And some dare say that Republicans fight more wars!
History proves this is wrong. We need a Republican to keep this nation safe. To destroy those terrorists that want to kill innocent Americans.

McCain vs Clinton is a landslide win for McCain according to all major polls. She’s popular on the left, but the center & right despise her. Almost 0% chance of winning.
As for McCain vs Obama, it would be much closer, but McCain is still the likely winner. I disagree with the person who’d vacationed in the US and said we’d never elect a black president. I don’t think that’s a major issue for most Americans.
Obama’s problem is that he has the most liberal voting record in the Senate and that puts off too many average voters. If you listen to his speeches, they’re just feel-good fluff. Lots of rhetoric, virtually no substance. Most of the US is moderate to conservative and an ultra-liberal doesn’t appeal to them. As long as the Democrats keep nominating radically liberal candidates like McGovern, Dukakis, and Obama, they’ll keep losing. If Obama’s the nominee, McCain will win by a 4-5% margin.
I wish that Clinton wins. Obama is only proposing to change things, but the things are going to change any way, even if McCain wins.
If Obama wins on the democratic side, then the Republicans will say that he is black and all white republicans will rush to save the white country. So Obama can not become the president, he can only spoil it for the democrats!
In reply to Kailash, I have to disagree strongly with you. I don’t think Clinton’s gender nor Obama’s race are major factors for most Americans, either Republican or Democrat. As a conservative Republican, I can think of several black or female candidates I’d wholeheartedly support and be thrilled to have as president. Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, JC Watts, Thomas Sowell, Elizabeth Dole, just to mention a few, are extremely popular on the right, have held positions of great power & influence within the Republican party, and all would be very popular among conservatives as presidential candidates. For conservatives, it’s about the candidates’ positions and leadership abilities, not their race or gender.

From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost … an average of 112,500 per year.
2.Truman (DEMOCRAT) finished that war and dropped TWO Atomic weapons killing thousands of innocent civilians…and started a war in Korea
North Korea never attacked us
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost , an average of 18,334 per year.
3.ohn F. Kennedy (DEMOCRAT) started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.
4.Johnson (DEMOCRAT) turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.
This is far more than in Iraq!!!
5.Clinton (DEMOCRAT) went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.

But of course the running joke in the Pentagon was “we know about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction we have the receits to prove it”. They of course were referring to the military hardware George Bush supplied to Iraq to use against Iran to better U.S interests in that region.
