I’m not sure but Bd6 looks good
I was looking at Qf3 threatening Mate and the knight at the same time, but the previous Bf6! is a nail in the coffin. If the knight captures the bishop then the black looses the queen with mate to follow. If black captures the bishop with the rook then white gets back row mate. Brilliant.
Flashylawyer says: 1. Qc4+ e4 2. Bh5 Qxh5 3. Qc1+ Ke5 4. Qxh5 and the cleanup follows.
1.Bd6 Rxd6 2.Qb8+

Now I get it — this is a proposed solution to the previous problem.
1. Qc4+ e4
1…Kg3 wins for Black.
2. Bh5
Did you mean 2.Bh6? That does win, but 2.Bd6# has some appeal too 😉
1. Bd6 saves the game for white, threatening both Qxe6 and Rf8#. Any move to stop the mate other than Rxd6 loses the queen. On Rxd6, Qb8+ leads to mate-in-two.
White can not only safe the game after 1.Qxe6 Rxe6 2.Bxd4 but also win after 1.Bd6. a)1..Kxd6 2.Qxe6 b)1…Rxd6 2.Qb8 and mate follows. c) 1… Qxd6 is of course an illegal move.
1. Bd6!! is the instant winner. It threatens mate in 1 and removes the guard from the black K so the only hope is Rxd6, but then Qb8 mates because the R can no longer interpose on a protected square.
That should have been “removes the guard from the Q”. Sorry for the typo.
Geez for heaven’s sake can NO ONE see a simple Q to B8 move, Just one move and CHECKMATE. JAYSUS!

I feel so stupid for overlooking that 1.Qb8 is checkmate.
Then again, maybe not.
If 1.Qb8 then Rc8 or Qc8 by black.
1.Bd6 wins I think
