Chess.FM India’s weekly Saturday Show at 7.00 PM IST, 28th July 2007, presents an Interview with India’s first Woman Grandmaster and five-time champion Vijayalakshmi Subbaraman of Indian Airlines, New Delhi.
The weekly Saturday show also features “India this Week”, “Hot Events” and Up coming tournaments across India. India this week looks at the Indian contingent shine in Spain, Cananda and in action elsewhere on the globe.
S.Vijayalakshmi of Indian Airlines, Delhi Viji is a historic person for women’s chess in India. She won more medals than any other player for India in the chess olympiads. She became India’s first Women grandmaster. She has won almost all national age group titles including the senior title for record times.
