Hall Of Famer GM Walter Browne.
I didn’t recognize the face, but I recognized the gesture immediately. Browne’s has very distinctive mannerisms.
Looks like some chess fan to me….
Susan, your site is quickly becoming my favourite chess blog. It’s updated frequently and there is always something new. Keep up the good work.

beat me – but a mustache on Walter Browne? the famous GM might be Vlastimil Hort – the only famous GM i know to wear a mustache … but the person on the pic does not have Vlastimils tummy – maybe he lost a little weight ???
greetings, Vohaul
I agree with Walter Browne…no right click answer either (lol).
That’s Browne. For a great game where a lead in development is more important than material, see Browne Quinteros 1974. That game is awesome!!!
Who is GM Walter Browne? Who is learning from his games how to play good chess? Sorry, but I don’t buy this one. Kasparov, Karpov, Ponomariov, yes, Walter Browne, certainly not.
