Deisy Cori from Perú.
The Cori siblings perfectly illustrate the difference in chess potential between men and women. I presume that both underwent the same rigid training and parental guidance, yet the younger male sibling (Jorge) clearly became the stronger of the two. That’s why I’m convinced that if Laszlo Polgar had a son, he would have been much stronger than the three sisters, possibly a 2800 player by now.
