Just a guess — Andre Danican Philidor
This is a picture of the great Francois-Andre Danican Philidor (1726-1795), who besides being the strongest chess master of his day, was also a well-known opera composer. (One can purchase CDs with some of his music on them.)
There have been other chess masters who were also accomplished musicians. Mark Taimanov comes quickly to mind. He was a concert pianist. And I understand now that Svetozar Gligoric has retired from chess, he has taken up musical composition (as a hobby, at any rate).
Of course, there are countless professional chess players who are amateur musicians, and countless professional musicians who are also amateur chess players. But Philidor is the best example of anyone who was both an accomplished professional musician and a great chess player.
