Chess masters to compete in Asian championships

Vietnam will send their chess masters to the Asian Open Chess Championships in Subic Bay in the Philippines from May 12-24.
The men will compete for a US$50,000 prize, while the female winner will only walk away with only US$15,000.
International Grandmasters Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son and Le Quang Liem will compete in the men’s class, Grandmaster Le Thanh Tu and some as yet unnamed players will compete in the women’s event.
The Philippines will also host the Subic Open, from May 24 to June 1, with prize money totalling US$30,000.
