Nice to see the old Fischer.
I watched the whole thing and i conclude Fischer is a nutcase. Even worse than i thought before!
I’m sad to see a nice man like Spasski got kicked out of Russia like a betrayer, after losing the match!! 😮
Fischer was evil, he broke the man and then smiled and even bragged about that in an interview…
Sorry, Fischer is nuts! And evil!
Had a temporary ‘Blogger problem’ getting to these comments: did anyone else experience this?
I used to admire Bobby Fischer in spite of his antics… because the media and “our world” of chess regarded him so highly.
However, this documentary changes all that.
The first time I heard of chess as a kid was during this match… became an avid player and Fischer-fan. Guess what I really knew most of him was from his book and great analysis “my-60-memorable-games.”
Must say I learnt a lot from it.
Throws a whole new light on how media/propaganda affects people, esp kids.
