[ if 1 … Ka8, 2 c8=R#]

Bb6+
Bb6+ Kxb6
c7-c8=K mate
Bb6+ Ka8
c7-c8=R mate
1 Bb6+ Kb6 (Ka8 2 c8Q#) 2 c8N+ Ka5 3 b4#
My first thought 1.c8=N+ turned out to be wrong.THEN i became wise.
1.Bb6+ Kxb6
(1…. Ka8 2.c8=Q#)
2.c8=N+ Ka5
3.b4#Mate by P is most humiliating.
1. Bb6+
if 1… Kxb6
2. Pc8 = N+ . Ka5
3. Pb4#
if 1… Ka8
2. Pc8 = Q#
About 10 seconds…
Bb6+ Kxb6
c8(Knight)+ Ka5
b4#
Patrick.
1.Bb6 check.
If 1..Ka8,Pawn to c8 = Q or R is mate.
If.1..Kxb6 , 2.Pawn to c8 = N check.
2..Ka5(only move)and 3.Pawn to b4 mate.
So , it is mate in three.
Didn’t see the Ka5 move … so here’s a better line:
Bb6+ Kxb6
c7-c8=N+ Ka5
b4# mate
Nice!
1. Bb6+ Kxb6 (Ka8 c8Q#) 2. c8N+ Ka5 3b4#
Happy Sunday to Susan and everybody
I instantly realize that it should be an under promotion to knight, but not with king on a7. With king on b6 it’s much stronger, leading to Ka5 b4#. Therefore a magnetic bishop sack first to make this happen:
1. Bb6+ Kxb6
2. c8=N+ Ka5
3. b4#
Easy mate in 3 moves.
This was a nice one 🙂
1. Bb6 Kxb6 (…Ka8 2. c8(Q or R)#)
2. c8N+ Ka5
3. b4#
1.Bb6+!
A>1….Ka8.2.c8=Q/R#
B>1….Kxb6.2.c8=N+.Ka5.3.b4#
Harry
bishop ch knight ch pawn ch mate
Bb6 Kxb6,c7c8=N+ Ka5,b4#
Bb6 Kxb6,c7c8=N+ Ka5,b4#
Beautiful mate with a knight promotion:
Bb6+ Kxb6 c8=N+ Ka5 b4#
Mate in 3, sacrifice bishop in b6 whith check and c8=knight check, mate witch b4. If 1 ka8 c8=queen and easy mate.
