Ng4 fxg4

Rxf8 Nxe3
Rf1+ Nxf1
Qxf1
Once i saw Ng4 it just fell apart..the rest of the moves are just a formality..
ng4 and ne3
h
Ng4 fg4 Ne3 Rg1 Ng4 Bg3 Qh2 Bh2 Nf2#
Ne3
Nice puzzle,
the idea is to open up the f-file and checkmate on f1 with queen or rook(supported by knight). There are several lines but nothing white can do against e.g.
1. ..Ng4 (threatening Qxh2++)
2. fxg4 Ne3 !!
3. Rxf8+ Rxf8
4. Nxe3(forced) Rf1+
5. Nxf1 Qf1++
or
3. Rg1 Nf1!! threatening Qh1++
4. Bg3 Ng3++
I think the first move is 1… Ng4 threatening mate on h2.
2. fxg Ne3
White has few choices 3. Rg1, 3. Rf2, 3. Rf8 and 3. Ne3. I think the longest line is
3. Rf8 Rf8
4. Ne3 Rf1
5. Nf1 Qf1#
Cheers
Rook
I see various checkmates 😀
I thought it could be
1. .. Ng4
2. fxg4 .. Be5 etc…
while
2 .. Ne3 gives White a chance with
3. Rg1
But i don’t have a chessboard, and i’m very tired…
looks like several solutions got in ahead of me I had the same
Ng4 fxg4 Ne3 Rxf8+ Rxf8 Nxe3 Rf1+ Nxf1 Qxf1# I would have posted it sooner but I wanted to share this with my chess friends online nice puzzle
There are several final positions, but I like the one after this sequence:
1… Ng4 (threatening 2… Qxh2#)
2. fxg4 Ne3 (threatening 3… Qxg2#)
3. Rg1 Nxg4 (threatening 4… Qxh2# again)
4. Bg3 Qxh2+
5. Bxh2 Nf2#
