yes i found it in 30 seconds!
1.f3!? But not within 30 seconds
1.f3-e4xf3
2.Kh3 and either a mate with g4 or Rh7
Not 30 seconds. I saw that Rxh7+ Kk4 wasn’t going top do it. But then I got stuck for a minute on Kh3 g4. Finally I see Rxc3+
So f3 exf3 Kh3 threatening Rh7# and g4#.
Black can prevent one but not both
f3, and threatens Rxh7 and g4.

Well,30 second ! – I am not sure whether I have read all the piece positions but to me White’s “Rook – R*h7” brings in mate.

Watch out for those f3 tornados
Took me about 30 seconds to see 1.f3. However, I only got lucky because th first move I looked at was Kh3 and realized quickly that I needed to block the rook check from c3. 1.f3 threatens g4#, and the reply of ef3 allows Kh3 with the unstoppable double threat of Rh7# or g4#.
1. f3 ef (otherwise, 2. g4#)
2. Kh3 and black can’t check white’s king and can’t stop both 3. g4# and 3. Rxh7#.
Solved (I swear) in less than 30 seconds.

Not sure if I beat the 30 second mark, but I think f3 does the job. If you ignore it, then g4 delivers mate, and if you take it, then I can play Kh3, with the duel threats of g4 mate and Rxh7 mate. f3 is necessary so that when you play Kh3, the black rook can’t capture your pawn at c3 with check, as either your pawn will block it, or his if he elected to capture at f3.

kh3 doesn’t work either cuz of rook x pawn check, this one’s tuff.
Within 30 seconds I noticed that black has a pawn on a2. 1-0!

Is 1 f3 the key? I hope so.

But I needed more than 30 seconds.
After 30 seconds I didn’t even notice my rook was en prise!!!
I don’t know Susan, I tried numerous things and Black seemed to always have a way. I still haven’t gotten it.
Kh3 Seems to put the lid on blacks escape routes…if the simple r#c3 check then g3 and mate at h7…if rc7 to cover the H pawn the g4 mates.
