Chuky should have won
That Nakamura failed to win this tournament, after all the gift points showered on him in it, is the best proof that his play just wasn’t good enough.
Chucky’s collapse saddened me; even the games he won didn’t look like proper Chucky games.
Caruana and Gelfand deserved their victory; they did play the best chess, after all.
Gelfand seems to get better with age! Only 30% of the games played were decisive with 70% draws! Of the decisive games, white won 65% and black won 35%.
