Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
This will sting Magnus for some time. I think it will motivate him in his preparation for the championship. When was the last time he went 1-2 in the final 3 games of a tournament?

None of them will be able to beat Anand in the next WC match. Compare the 2007 WCh where Anand finished Clear first with no losses. Great performance by Kramnik again He only lost 1 game in the 2007 tournament and repeated the feat. Better luck next time. Chucky..simply phenomenal. Poor nerves and time management but what an impact on the candidates and what a statement with 1.5/2 against both the leaders. Terrific performance from Svidler too.

Nonsense. Carlsen beat Gelfand twice. Anand could only do it once in classical chess.
Carlsen plays better than Gelfand, and look how close Boris came to dethroning Anand. It’s a shame that Kramnik couldn’t have pushed for a draw in his last game, but he certainly had a terrific performance. If Carlsen beats Anand, he could hold the title a long, long time.
I expected more from Carlsen, really.
Unfortunately he has no character of a champion as Kasparov and Karpov had (both of them never lost decisive games). How could a real champion from the last three decisive games lose two of them and could barely win the third one? He was lucky that Ivanchuk won his game against Kramnik.
Initially I was for Cralsen, but slowly I realized that Kramnik played more interesting.
