Carlsen got creamed!
Anand is a big rock in the carlsen’s road yet. When Carlsen will win Anand? Sometime? never?
Anand OWNS Carlsen!
Could Anand break through the fortress created if Carlsen had played 32…h3?
i mean 32. h3, of course.
> Could Anand break through the
> fortress created if Carlsen had
> played 32…h3?
After 32.h3 black could play f6, keep the rook on the 2nd line, then move the king to g3 and white will loose his g2 pawn.
Carlsen is not Kramnik. He don’t search the easy draw game. He tries to search the win this is why he plays this complex opening. Actually Anand is like Geller or Spassky was for Fischer …
I am sure, Carlsen can easily draw versus Anand by playing somes lames openings. So the “Anand OWNS Carlsen!” is stupid.
Maybe Carlsen can’t beat Anand yet, but when he does (and it is coming), he will CRUSH him.
People!!! You have to start realizing that Magnus Carlsen is refusing to join the Draw club to which Mr Anand is president, and Kramnick is Vice-President. While Anand and Kramnick are always fighting to find a draw….Carlsen is fighting to gain original victories against them. If you need proof of this, just review the Kramnick-Carlsen game of Corus where Kramnick tried to attain a draw by repetition various times while Carlsen kept fighting the position. Next in Carlsen’s target is Mr Draw….I mean Anand. As I have mentioned in numerous posts already…I’m happy that at least we have 3 players that are refusing to join the Draw Club (Carlsen, Radjabov, Aronian)…and you should too.
Exactly! That is why someday Magnus is going to be the best, because he goes for the win.
Anand’s days are over I read somewhere. hahaha!

What if White plays Kh2 before the Black King can get to g3?
quoting myself:
“What if White plays Kh2 before the Black King can get to g3?”
I just noticed that Black could then get his king to f2 and Rook to g1 to win the g-pawn.
refusing to join draw club doesnt ask you to lose the game. Finally you play to win the tournament and not lose points !!
“refusing to join draw club doesnt ask you to lose the game. Finally you play to win the tournament and not lose points !!” – anonymous
If you are so use to just play for draws….it will be very difficult for you to understand what Carlsen is doing. As a young player, he has a couple of years ahead of him to become World Champion. But he will not get to be World Champion by playing Anand’s, Kramnik, and Topalov’s games and being comfortable with draws. He needs to learn how not to only beat them at chess…..but also at their own drawing schemes. Fisher tried it in his time (first game of the 1972 tournament with Spassky). Carlsen can play for points all he wants in a year or two…..but right now he is learning how to crush the Chess elite. He already crushed Kramnik….Anand is next.
Any decent chess player recognizes one-way-traffic, and this was just it.
White only played some theoretical moves and lost without any chance whatsoever.
