Chick-Fil-A fans camp out for free food

By Wednesday afternoon, there was a tent in the Coral Ridge Mall parking lot. Inside the tent were pillows, blankets and an air mattress.

Outside the tent, at a table playing chess, were two men in their 20s. They were there for one reason, or really, about 52 reasons.

…The first 100 people in line will receive the tickets, which will equal one free combo meal a week for a year at the restaurant in the food court.

The pair arrived at 6 a.m. to get in line, but realized they weren’t prepared to stay all night. So, they hopped over to Wal-Mart to get the essentials, including the chess set that converts into eight other games.
