Scholastic chess tourney

The C. D. Hylton High School Chess Club will sponsor a scholastic chess tournament on May 30 at Gar-Field High School, 14000 Smoketown Road in Woodbridge. Elementary, middle and high school students, including private and home school, are eligible.
The tournament will be organized in four sections: Primary (K-3), Elementary (4-5), Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12). No one is eliminated; each participant will play four games. Tro-phies and medals will be awarded to the top players and all other participants will receive certifi-cates.
There are no entry fees; the C. D. Hylton Chess Club sponsors this event in the interest of pro-moting scholastic chess. Registration can be done via e-mail with name, grade level and school to: princewilliamchess@gmail.com . Chess sets will be provided and a concession stand will be available.
