Nh2 i think is the best move !!!
1Nh2 wins
I first thought it is white to move and without thinking decided it should be 1Nd5 since all chess giant players play that way. With black to move again I decided 1… Nxh2 as 1… Qh4 is too slow for a problem.
As I looked deeply( I thought so)into the position no good move could be found for white.Black’s dark square bishop looks like more than a Q.Now white R at f1 has no mother, father or godfather. If 2Rd1 Qh4 follows and I resign.
1….Nxh2! and Knight is untouchable
Sxh2!
1. … Nxh2 must be the move, but it was not easy to find best play for Black after 2. Rd1.
Best for White appears to be 2. Ne2.
1. … Nxh2
2. Ne2 Nxf1 3. Nxd4 Qh4+ 4. Kg1 Nh2
2. Kxh2 Qh4#
2. Re1 Nxf3 3. gxf3 Qh4+ 4. Kg2 Qxe1
2. Rd1 Qh4 3. g3 [3. Rxd4 Nxf3#] Qxg3 4. Ne2 [4. Rxd4 Nxf3 5. Rd1 Qh3+] Qxf3+ 5. Kxh2 Qf2+
6. Kh1 [6. Kh3 g5 7. fxg5 Be5 8. Nf4 Qf3+ 9. Kh2 Bxf4+] Rh6 7. Nxd4 Qh4+ 8. Qh2 [8. Kg1 Rg6+
9. Kf1 Qh1+ 10. Ke2 Qg2+ 11. Ke1 Qg1+ 12. Kd2 Qxd4+ 13. Ke2 Rg2+ 14. Kf3 Rxc2 15. Rxd4 Rxa2] Bxe4+
9. Kg1 Qg4+ 10. Kf2 Qxd1
Nh2 looks pretty obvious to me since the knight can’t be taken due to Qh4#:
1. …..Nh2
2. Qd3
The options of moving the rook are worse. Of the two, Rd1 looks better as it doesn’t allow the refork of Nf3 and the subsequent double attack after Qh4+; also attacks the bishop at d4: [2.Re1? Nf3 3.gf3 Qh4 4.Kg2 (or 4.Qh2 Qe2) 4. …Qe2-+]. However, Rd1 has it’s own issues: [2.Rd1 Qh4! 3.g3 Qg3 4.Ne2 (or 4.Rd4? Nf3! 5.Rd1 Qh3-+; or 4.Qg2 Qf3 5.Qf3 Nf3-+) 4. …Qf3 5.Kh2 Be4 6.Nd4 Bc2! 7.Nf3 Bd1-+]. I will discuss the options of 2.Ne2 and g3 at the end. Continuing:
2. …..Nf1
I looked at this a long time, and don’t see anything clearly better than just taking the rook. Continuing:
3. Qd4
Taking the knight simply allows Qh4# once again. Continuing:
3. …..Qh4
4. Kg1 Nh2 and black will extricate his knight and be up an exchange.
At move 2, white did have a couple of other options I want to look at briefly:
1. …..Nh2
2. Ne2
The other way to get rid of the dangerous bishop at d4. Continuing:
2. …..Nf1 (anything better?)
3. Nd4
Again, a must due to the threat of Qh4. Continuing:
3. …..Qh4
4. Kg1 Nh2
And, again, black is up an exchange.
Or, finally:
1. …..Nh2
2. g3
To prevent Qh4. Continuing:
2. …..Nf1
3. Kg2 Ne3
4. Be3 Be3
5. Qd3
And I think white will at least win the bishop to still only be down an exchange.
If there is anything better than 1. …Nh2, I am not seeing it.
Kxh2 seguido de Qh4
