$2930.00 Prize money based upon 120 players; Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, 2008.
Five Rounds, Game40/2, Swiss Format, Each participant must bring: Chess Set, Chess Board, Chess Clock and pencil. Must write notations.

This is a United States Chess Federation Open Rated Championship. All players must be or must become a USCF member. Memberships may be purchased at the door for an additional annual fee. Ratings are from the USCF May Supplement. The title “Buffalo Mayor’s Cup Champion 2008” is reserved for residents of Buffalo/Niagara, Erie County or Western New York region only.

Registration will be open from 8:00am until 9:15am. Unpaid late entries must take a one half point bye.

Rounds on Saturday begin at 10am, 2:30pm, and 7pm. Final Rounds on Sunday begin at 10am and 2:15pm.
Byes available with advance notice to the tournament director at check in. No Byes in Round 5.
