1..Kh7, of course. After 2.Qxf6 Black has a forced stalemate with Qa2+!!
3.Kxa2 b3+ 4.Kb3 or Kxa1 ; stalemate !
I meant to say Kxb3 or Ka1 🙂
yes very amusing!
As samikd said 1…Kh7! leads to an stalemate. And no profit for white trying to mate on the files g and h, as black pieces are well coordinated for the defense.
1…..Kh7
2 QxR Qa2
3KxQ pxp
4pxp
stalemate
never mind
3…b3+ from above is the only move
Hi there , I’m was looking for information on college student loan and it’s amazing how much crap there is out here and a lot harder to find the good stuff. Anyway searching for college student loan, I came accross your site Black to move. What is the best move for Black?, not exactly what I was looking for, but what a read. Thanks.
Gotta love ChessNinja. 🙂
Nice one!
this does not work:

the problem is that on 3 KxQ pxp then white does not have to play pxp. he can instead go over and checkmate black.
that is why black must play 3…b3+ forcing white to move the king instead of checkmating black.
