5 way tie at Open Es Vermar
IM Glud first on tiebreak

IM Glud, IM Siebrecht, IM Castellanos, GM Burmakin, IM Gladyszev finished the 2007 edition of Open Es Vermar with 7,0/9 points. The first place on a tiebreak goes for IM Glud (Denmark, ELO 2435). The Danish tallent grabbed victory after drawing GM Burmakin in the last round.

Having 4 IM’s tie on first place is a big surprise in the strong field. The IM’s clearly outplayed GM Meijers, GM Movsziszian, GM Pogorelov, GM Ubilava, and GM Gofshtein. The only one who saved the honour of the GM’s was GM Burmakin, who tied with the first four with 7.0/9.
